Forms for your team

Some forms aren't for customers at all: a visit report, an inspection checklist, a handover. Make them team forms. Your team fills them in on an item, inside monday.com, and the answers go straight into that item's columns.

What changes for a team form

  • It opens only in the item card, where saving changes that item. It doesn't make new items.
  • It has no public link. Opening the link, sending a response, edit links, private item links, Let people find their answers and Save and finish later all refuse it, with "This form is filled in by the team inside monday.com."
  • Require a password is hidden, as there's no link to protect.
  • Preview still works, so you can try the form before publishing.
  • Share shows A form for your team, with the steps to open it in the item card.
  • Like any form in the item card, it's for members of the account, not guests or viewers, and it keeps working while the form is paused.

Tip: A typical team form: a technician's visit report, with a checklist, photos and the customer's signature, filled in on the job's item on a laptop or tablet at the site. Saving puts the answers on the item and, with a PDF template, attaches the signed report. See Visit reports filled in on the job.
