Where do the answers go?

Each submission creates an item on the board the form was built on, in the group you choose in Form settings, with every answer written to its column. Lines added to a subitems question become subitems of that item.

Which columns can a form ask about?

The item name, text, long text, numbers, date, status, dropdown, people, email, phone, link, checkbox, files, connected boards and subitems. A long answer can also be posted as an update on the new item.

Can someone change their answers after submitting?

Yes, when Let respondents edit their submission is on. The confirmation screen gives them a private link that reopens their answers, and an edit updates the same item instead of creating a new one. You can cap the number of edits per submission.

Can I show a question only to some respondents?

Yes. A question, a content block or a whole page can be shown only when a Status, Dropdown or Checkbox answer is, or is not, a value you choose. When you add several conditions, all of them must hold.

Can the form produce a PDF?

Yes. Upload your own PDF on the PDF template tab and drag questions onto the page where their answers should be printed. Each submission fills the PDF and attaches it to a file column on the new item. Connect Google Drive to save a copy to a folder as well.

Can I limit when the form is open?

Yes. Pause it with one switch, set an opening and a closing date, or set a maximum number of submissions. Outside those limits the link shows a closed message instead of the form.

Can a submission start a monday.com automation?

Yes. MasterForms adds a “form is submitted” trigger to your board’s automations, so a response can notify someone, set a status or start the next step.

What if someone closes the form halfway through?

Their answers are saved in that browser as they go. When they open the link again on the same device, the form offers to bring them back.
