| Number | A number box, or a row of buttons for a 1–5, 1–7, 1–10 or 0–10 scale. |

| Status | One choice: a list, or buttons. |

| Formula, Mirror | A value shown on the form, not typed in. |
| Subitems | Line items: people add as many lines as they need. |
| Update (Text) | A text box. The answer is posted as an update (a comment) on the new item, not saved in a column. It's always at the bottom of the column list. |
Note: Country, Tags, Color, Timeline, Week, Hour, Location, World clock, Time tracking, Vote, Progress, and columns monday fills in itself (like Creation log, Item ID or Auto number) can't be questions, so they aren't in the list.
Signatures
Add a box people sign with a mouse or a finger. The drawing is saved as an image in a File column on the item, and it can be printed on your PDF.
- Add the box: Open the page it belongs on, then under the form, in Add to this page, press Signature.
- See where it's saved: MasterForms uses a File column the form doesn't use yet, choosing one with "sign" in its name first. If there's none, it adds a Signature column to the board. A message says which column it used.
- Set it up: Click the box. Its settings say Signature question. Change the label, add help text, or make it required.
- Two other ways: choose Signature as the type under + New column, or turn on Collect a signature on any File question.
- Respondents see "Sign here" and "Use your mouse or finger to sign.", and can press Clear to start again.
- On an edit link, the box says "Leave empty to keep the signature already on file."
- The Signature button and column type aren't offered in the Subitem form.
- Save and finish later doesn't keep signatures, so people sign when they come back.
- To print signatures on your own PDF, see A filled PDF on every response.
Stars, scales and NPS
- Stars: add a Rating column. The number of stars (or hearts) comes from the column's settings on the board.
- Scales: on a Number question, under How it's answered, choose Scale, 1 to 5, Scale, 1 to 7, Scale, 1 to 10 or Scale, 0 to 10 (Net Promoter Score). Add words under the lowest and highest number, like "Not at all likely" and "Extremely likely".
- Buttons: on a Status or Dropdown question, choose Buttons under Show the choices as. A Status allows one choice, a Dropdown several.
The Dashboard shows the average for each rating and scale, and the Net Promoter Score for a 0 to 10 scale. See Dashboard.
