Columns not syncing in Mirror Item: how to fix it

Almost always a name or type mismatch. A column only syncs when one with exactly the same name and type exists on every linked board. Formula and Auto Number columns never sync.

Check these in order

  1. Names match exactly on every board, including capitals. "Due date" and "Due Date" are different.
  2. Types match: Status with Status, People with People, Date with Date. A Status column will not sync to a Text column.
  3. The column is not excluded for this item. Look in the Excluded list in the Mirror Item tab.
  4. It is not a Formula, Auto Number or mirror column. monday.com calculates those, so no app can write them.
  5. For Connect Boards columns, turn on Auto-fill Connect Boards Column in Mirror Item.
  6. Make a small change to the item to trigger a fresh sync.

Tip: Renamed a column recently? The rename breaks the match. Rename it back, or rename the column on the other boards to match.
