Install and set up

Open a Confluence page, choose ••• → Apps → Export to PDF, pick a template and a scope, and press Export. When it's done, the PDF is attached to the page and you can download it straight away.

Before you start

  • A Confluence administrator installs the app from the Atlassian Marketplace.
  • Anyone who can view a page can export it. A PDF only contains what the person exporting can see.
  • The PDF is attached to the page you export from, so you need permission to add attachments there.
  • Only Confluence administrators can manage templates, the brand, and the Export API.

Install the app

  1. In Confluence, go to Apps → Explore more apps, search for Smart PDF Exporter and install it.
  2. Open Apps → Smart PDF Exporter to check it works: search for a page and export it.
  3. As an admin, open Smart PDF Exporter in Confluence administration (or press Manage templates on the app's page) to choose which templates people see and set your brand.

Tip: Five templates come ready to use: Documentation, Report, Manual, Whitepaper and Article. You can export straight away and design your own later.
